That’s why we’re creating new programs just for care partners—to give them the resources, encouragement, and compassion they need and deserve. We’re here for your support network just as we are for you.

Cancer services programs & events for care partners

People who support someone with cancer or other illnesses can often feel isolated, overwhelmed, and lost. Building community with other care partners, learning more about the illness affecting their loved one, and taking time to care for themselves well can make a positive difference for all care partners and those they are caring for.

Cancer Services already offers a number of programs which are open to people who support others. These include the following.

One-to-one support with a Client Advocate or counselor

No-cost relaxation massages (for the primary caregiver of a person in treatment)

Educational sessions provided by local subject matter experts

Therapeutic music groups and sound baths

Art workshops

Weekly movement classes, such as Tai Chi and yoga

Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana is proud to support PBS Fort Wayne as they air a new documentary, Caregiving.

Bradley Cooper is an executive producer of the documentary. He experienced a caregiver journey after his father was diagnosed with cancer.

The documentary is centered on the personal experiences of caregivers providing for loved ones and the challenges and triumph they face each day.
