Event Coordinator
Part-Time

The Event Coordinator will play a vital role in planning and implementing special events that help staff, clients, and volunteers bring meaning to the cancer experience and build support for Cancer Services’ programs and services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, execution, and follow-up for Cancer Services’ fundraising and special events.
  • Evaluate event performance and prepare reports.
  • Research, identify, and recommend improvements for event success.
  • Assist individuals and organizations holding fundraising events or activities benefiting Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
  • Assist with marketing and public relations activities to build support and spread awareness of Cancer Services.
  • Maintain excellent communications to ensure coordination of all aspects of fund development and marketing.
  • Assist with development efforts, including donor and sponsorship prospect research and stewardship.
  • Maintain donor database, including data entry, reports, and data analysis.
  • Utilize event planning and fundraising technology platforms.

Work Hours: 25 to 28 hours per week flexible schedule. Mostly Monday through Friday.

Salary Range: $19 to $23 per hour.

Administrative Professional
Part-Time

The Administrative Professional will work at our office in Warsaw, Indiana as the “first face” of our mission by creating and maintaining a welcoming, warm environment of support for our clients and being an efficient and effective team member.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcome and greet all visitors to the facility.
  • Screen and direct any incoming telephone calls and visitors to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date databases.
  • Maintain client resource lending library.
  • Support and maintain appointments and attendance for select client programs.
  • Ensure the on-going organization of the Warsaw office and systems.

Work hours:  Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 9:45 AM – 4:15PM

Pay:  $14/hr.

Facilitators
Part-Time

Cancer Services is seeking social workers and therapists to facilitate supportive sessions for people with cancer and others impacted by the disease. See complete details for each group below.

Facilitator for General, All Cancers Support Group (Your Cancer Experience: A Community Support Group)
Location: Warsaw
Time Commitment: 1.5 – 2 hours once a month plus some prep work, currently scheduled for 4th Mondays at 12:00. Potential for rescheduling.
Qualifications: Preferably either a LCSW or LPC. Previous experience with groupwork beneficial. Experience with cancer (your own or a loved one’s) is beneficial.
Compensation: Dependent on experience

Facilitator for Virtual Care Givers Support Group (Name of Group to be Determined)
Location: Virtual
Time Commitment: 1.5 – 2 hours once a month plus some prep work. Likely to be scheduled for a weekday evening or potentially on a Sunday evening.
Qualifications: Preferably either a LCSW or LPC. Previous experience with groupwork beneficial. Familiarity with using Zoom. Experience with cancer (your own or a loved one’s) is beneficial.
Compensation: Dependent on experience

Facilitator for Virtual Expressive Writing Group (Name of group to be determined)
Location: Virtual
Time Commitment: To be determined, likely a limited series that will be repeated periodically (ex. 6 sessions that meet once a week for 1.5 hours)
Qualifications: Preferably either a LCSW or LPC. Previous experience with groupwork beneficial. Personal interest in or experience with writing. Experience with cancer (your own or a loved one’s) is beneficial.
Compensation: Dependent on experience
