Anticancer therapies can cause cardiac side effects, including abnormal heartbeats or impaired pump function. In addition, cancer patients frequently take numerous medications, and anticancer therapies have a high likelihood for drug interactions. In this presentation, Dr. Tyler Shugg will discuss the prevalence of cardiotoxicity and drug-drug interactions related to anticancer therapies, describe risk factors and signs and symptoms of these toxicities, and provide guidance for how to manage these toxicities.
