We are organizing Blue Tie Day to increase awareness about prostate cancer. On September 14, we encourage all local men and businesses to participate and wear blue ties to the office.
Take a photo of yourself or a group at the office wearing your collection of blue ties and send the photos to Amber Recker at firstname.lastname@example.org. Photos will be submitted for publication and also posted on our blog. The group with the most people in blue ties will receive blue “Count Moments” bracelets for their entire team.
The IPFW Men’s Volleyball team and Lutheran Health Network have named us as the beneficiary of this Friday’s Blue Out Event to raise awareness for prostate cancer. A portion of the proceeds from admission will be donated to our organization. Tickets are $3 for men, and $7 for everyone else and are available at the door on Friday evening.
Kent Hormann and Cynthia Cornwell had ambitious goals- to organize a golf outing to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer. And they were wildly successful. With the support of corporate sponsors, including Lutheran Health Network, the first annual Blue Ball Open, which was held on Saturday, August 14, successfully raised $8,600 for Cancer Services.
On Wednesday, October 20, Kent Hormann and Joe Dorko, newly named CEO of Lutheran Health Network, presented our CEO, Dianne May, with the proceeds from the event. We’d like to thank Kent, Cynthia, Joe and all those involved in making this event successful.

Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana and Us TOO International sponsored a successful seminar on prostate cancer and men’s health on Saturday, September 18. The seminar was held at Cancer Services and featured six speakers addressing topics, such as PSA Screening and Active Surveillance, Surgical Options for Prostate Cancer, Systemic Treatments such as Immunotherapy and Provenge, Nutrition, Exercise and Enhancing Men’s Sexual Health. Not surprisingly the session on enhancing sexual health was the most heavily attended. All speakers provided interesting information in an entertaining format. We hope to make this an annual event.
The Us TOO Information Table. Us TOO International provides extensive information on prostate cancer in all of its various forms and ramifications. The most popular publications were made available for attendees.
