Our Annual Tribute Dinner provides an opportunity to support those with cancer and their families in our community. It is an evening to pause, treasure the lives of people touched by cancer, and pay tribute to them, whether a cancer survivor, caregiver, physician or lost loved one.
This year’s event will take place on Thursday, September 18, at Hotel Fort Wayne. This year marks the 10th year for the signature event and will feature keynote speaker Dan Shapiro, Ph.D.
Shapiro understands firsthand the challenges and hardships of cancer from the patient’s, caregiver’s, and clinician’s perspective. Shapiro is the Chair of the Department of Humanities at Penn State College of Medicine. He has appeared on two television series on National Geographic and The Discovery Channel and has written three books as well as articles for The New York Times, JAMA, and The Chronicle of Higher Education. Shapiro’s message to Cancer Services’ supporters will emphasize the importance of connecting with others and having hope while facing the challenges of cancer treatment.
It will be an evening full of hope, inspiration, and community.
There are several ways you can take part in the event:
- Host a table for your friends and family members
- Organize a group of your friends or family members to all contribute to host a table
- Purchase an individual ticket and join other Cancer Services supporters
Individual tickets are $100. Tables are $800 (seats 8 and includes tribute). To reserve your spot, call Stacey Stumpf at (260) 484-9560 or email sstumpf@cancer-services.org.
