“Mondays at Racine” is the story of two sisters who open their hair salon the third Monday of every month to help women with cancer. The film, directed by Cynthia Wade, received a 2013 Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary (Short Subject).
Following the movie, there will be a short Q & A session on self-image during cancer treatment led by Marsha Haffner, Director of Clinical Services at Cancer Services.
Exhibitors from Your Virgin Hair, Urban Updates, and Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana will have information available. This event is collaboration by Cinema Center, Green Hair Revolution and Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana with proceeds benefiting Cancer Services.
Cancer Services will also welcome donations of new or gently used wigs.
