Please join us at 6:00 p.m. September 6, 2017 at the Mirro Center for Research and Innovation, 10622 Parkview Plaza Drive, Fort Wayne, IN 46845 for the 13th Annual Tribute Dinner. The Tribute Dinner is an opportunity to pay tribute to individuals touched by cancer and to honor caregivers and physicians.
We are honored to have Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe of Kendallville as our keynote speaker.
Mayor Handshoe is a retired Marine Corps veteran, the first woman to serve as mayor in Kendallville and a cancer survivor. Handshoe has internalized the “never let them see you sweat” attitude. She will share her story of courage and perseverance.
There are several ways you can take part in the event:
- Host a table for your friends and family members.
- Organize a group of friends and family members to contribute to host a table.
- Purchase an individual ticket and join other Cancer Services supporters
When you purchase a ticket to the event, you will also have an opportunity to honor someone with a tribute. Tributes are listed in the event program and displayed onscreen above the stage during the evening.
Individual tickets are $100 and include 1 tribute. Reserved tables of 8 are $800 and include up to 8 tributes. Individual tributes are available for $25. To make a reservation or submit a tribute, contact Keiara Carr at 260-484-9560 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

2017 Design on Life Recap
Posted on March 16th, 2017
We would like to thank the generosity of our sponsors, auction donors and guests for helping to make the 2017 Design on Life Auction a success.
The Monte Carlo Night on Saturday, February 25 2017, at Ceruti’s Diamond Room raised more than $50,000 to help local people touched by cancer.
The evening was filled with wonderful music by Dan Heath and Paradise Duo.
Nearly 100 items were auctioned off.
There was a lively group of participants for Design on Life’s new card game. Emcee Krista Miller, Fort Wayne’s NBC 33, drew cards from the deck, eliminating participants one by one until one lucky winner took home a bundle of gift cards valued at more than $500.
The highlight was the live auction with auctioneers from Ness Bros. Real Estate and Auction Co.
We are so grateful to our sponsors: Kroger, Parkview, Steel Dynamics, Comcast Spotlight, Umi Grill, Bobcat of Fort Wayne, Ness Bros. Real Estate and Auction Co., Vera Bradley, Club Soda, Windows, Doors and More, Petroleum Traders Corporation, Just Sue Graphics, Brotherhood Mutual, Vanroot Growers, Woodforest National Bank, All Occasion Party, Sweetwater, Media 401, Parrot Press, Hylant, Belmont Beverage, JBG Photography, Best-One Tire and Auto Care, Accu-Label, Michael’s Floor Covering, Unified Wealth and Retirement and First Federal Bank.
And a special thank you to Karen Tejera and the Fort Wayne Home & Garden Show for providing complimentary tickets to our guests and partnering with Cancer Services to continue the success of Design on Life for 14 years.
